Georgia State Checker Tournament
The Georgia State Checker Tournament was held December 12 - 13,
2003, at the Calhoun - Gordon Recreation Center in Calhoun, Georgia. Gene
Lindsay won the Masters by a landslide, and Byron Woolum won the Majors. Lisle
Cormier, as the highest finishing Georgia resident, becomes the new Georgia
State Champion. Congratulations, Gene, Byron, and Lisle! Unfortunately, the
former Georgia State Champion, Harvey Kelley, was unable to attend due to work
commitments. Here are the results.
